With a heavy heart, and a fresh year ahead, it's the right time to find a new home for the shop wagon.
This Troc we won at a Copart auction. The right colour, the right DSG gearbox, the right engine, all the good bits. Why Copart? For the un initiated, Copart sells crash damaged cars. We'd had our eye out for the right Troc that sang from the same hymn sheet as the vans we build and this one was going through a local auction to us, with only minor, non structural damage. It had a wallop on the driver's rear side. The rear axle and wheel took the majority of the shunt. The car was pretty much unscathed. A new rear axle was fitted, a new set of wheels (naturally black steels and Falken wildpeak tires), and a new door, which wasn't really needed but we couldn't be arsed to touch up the very minor damage on the original. The rear bumper has a few scuffs but they're not so bad that it's bothered us enough to get it replaced.
It's been great for customers, or ourselves to borrow over the last few years. It's totally original, aside from the wheels, tow-bar and roof racks. It's subtle and gets the right attention wherever it goes. This would suit someone un-precious who needs a reliable, good looking, fuel sipping car to do the chores, tow stuff and go further afield should you require. It's done many trips from the East of England to the far West and is a lovely car to be in for big distances.
We'll be sad to see it go.
Come take it for a spin. It's genuinely great. Still not quite sure why we're selling it as it's the most fought over vehicle we own.
Bad bits.
- Temperamental engine light, been diagnosed by ourselves with our OBD reader as an exhaust sensor. £12 part apparently.
- Minor scuffs and dents commensurate with age.
- Cat something? The least bad one... I forget...
- If you've got some pretty big people in the back, the slightly bigger tyres will rub ever so slightly.

This isn't a sketchy geezer chop shop wagon. We bought it ourselves, had it delivered to us damaged, fixed it in a few hours, and have put 20k miles on it. An honest, great run around that we'll miss dearly.
