S+S Drive Away Awning / Adapter Kit
The STITCHES + STEEL Drive-Away Awning Kit is compatible with all Vango, Kampa and Outdoor Revolution drive away awnings along with all STITCHES + STEEL awnings and awning rails. This kit is for use with VW T4, T5, T6 vans or any other make of van fitted with a C-channel awning rail, Reimo Multi-rail, Thule or Dometic wind-out awning.
A drive-away kit enables one person to detach/reconnect a van from/to a drive-away awning in just a couple of minutes.
This kit is also an awning rail adapter kit. This allows the fitment of all awnings with a Kador strip onto any size C channel awning rail.
If your C channel awning rail is 8mm, and your awning has a 4mm kador, the kit will allow for converting the size of the kador to fit any application.
To Connect:
1. Slide the 3 x 88cm Figure of 8 sections onto the awning bead at the top of the awning.
2. Slide one edge of the Kador Strip piping into the Figure of 8 and the other edge into the vans C-profile rail at the same time.
To Detach: Loosen off front webbing straps/guylines of the awning and slide out the double sided Kador Strip.
Top Tip: to make reconnection easier, mark your position at the drivers side wheels with a guyline before driving away.
