Us taking on this role has been a long time coming actually as we've been donating money to Surfers Against sewage through their 250 scheme for some time.
Something we would also encourage any other businesses looking to enhance their knowledge of ocean health and spread awareness about the subject to do.
As we've been on our path with SAS their education, and consequently our knowledge to the issues at hand has grown. Transitioning into this role has been an obvious and natural choice for us.
Our doors are open and to be a port of call on this side of the UK for all things plastic pollution and ocean health related is something that sits very well with us at STITCHES + STEEL.
As part of the #bigspringbeachclean, an effort to clean up our shores for the impending summer (if it ever shows up) we shall be hosting a beach clean on Mersea Island next weekend on Sunday the 15th of April.
A collaborative effort with other like minded business it will be a fun morning. We will be manning the @merseawatersports HQ and will be armed with the relevant beach cleaning paraphernalia along from sign in forms to bin bags, gloves and much tea! show up at 10.00 to do your bit for a damn good cause.
