Drive-away awning 2 is designed to take your adventures to the next level. It's taken two years of R&D to perfect this product and what we've built, we believe to be industry leading in relation to the materials, packing dimensions, size, functionality and aesthetic at this price point.

DA2 Packs down small but delivers big. Infallible air beams make pitching fast and effortless. Constructed from durable 210d with taped seams, it offers industry leading protection from the elements.
Designed for longer stays and with its easy-pitch characteristics, it's also perfect for touring and overnighters. It features large windows to maximise natural light along with covers for privacy, a mesh front door for mosquito-free ventilation, a zip-on-zip-off drive away kador strip along with a host of other features to maximise freedom.

FAQ's
Will this awning fit my VW T5 or T6?
- Yes. It is designed with an attachment height of 180–210cm, making it suitable for the VW T5, T6 and T6.1 vehicles with the ability to go Lower or higher depending on the height of your vehicle
How does the awning attach to my van?
- Slide the integrated Kador strip into an awning rail.
- If you have a pop top, or roof bars, our Mulitraill is best, or our universal awning rail is perfect for vehicles without a pop top.
- Throw-over webbing straps across the roof (no need for an awning rail)
Do I need an awning rail?
- No. The awning can be secured using the supplied throw-over straps or roof bar attachments. However, an awning rail provides the quickest, neatest and most weatherproof connection.
Can I drive away and leave the awning standing?
- Yes. Once the awning is pegged out, simply unzip the kador from your vehicle and drive away. When you return, line the van back up and reconnect.

Do I need a drive-away kit?
- Not necessarily. A drive-away kit allows you to disconnect the van without removing the awning from the rail each time.
Which drive-away kit do I need?
- You don't need one, this zips off, but you can use one if you prefer the functionality of a traditional kit. We'd recommend using the built-in zip.
Can I fit the awning on my own?
- Yes. Most owners can pitch this style of awning solo after a little practice, although having a second person makes the first few setups easier.
How long does it take to pitch?
- Typically in around 5–10 minutes, depending on experience and conditions. A little more if you're tweaking it to perfection
Is it waterproof?
- Yes. When pitched correctly with all guylines tensioned, DA2 is designed to withstand typical UK camping weather and is tested for wet-weather touring use.
Can I use it for overnight sleeping?
- Yes. Many owners use the awning as an additional 'tent' you can add an optional inner tent, while others use it as a spacious living and dining area.
Will it fit a VW with a pop-top roof?
- Yes. Most standard pop-top VW T5/T6 campervans. Our 'multirail' awning rail is perfect for this style (there is a bundle for this setup where you can save)
Can I leave the awning attached in strong winds?
- Like any awning, it should be fully pegged out with all guylines secured. In severe weather, it's recommended to pack it away to avoid unnecessary damage.
Will the side door still open?
- Yes. When correctly positioned, the connection tunnel allows the VW sliding door to open and close normally. As with any universal awning, final positioning may vary depending on your rail location and accessories.
Can I use the awning with roof bars?

Yes. If your van has roof bars, the supplied 'throw over straps' work great. Alternatively, you can use an awning rail.
Will this fit my ...........
- The short answer is yes. DA2 is designed to be universal. The spec sheet has all the dimensions and if you measure your van, and utilize our awning rails, or the throw over attachment, you will be able to fit this to almost all vans, LWB or short.

We use Royal Mail 48 & DHL Parcel for all our standard UK & CI orders.
When your order’s been dispatched, we'll send you a confirmation email with your tracking number.
Your parcel will be with you in 3-5 working days (although it can take a little longer at busy times).
Sporadic supply chains, fickle seasons, S+S growing, along with a slew of other factors have created a perfect storm for us to occasionally fumble our stock management (at this point in our journey). Just an honest heads up that if this product is in stock, and you want it, now might not be the worst time to pull the trigger. It may well sell out sooner than you think and it could be a while before you see it here again- We'd hate for you to miss out.
We want you to love your S+S products, so if you’re not happy with your purchase we are happy to offer refunds on all full-priced purchases and store credits on sale styles, subject to some limited exclusions.
