S+S Code Zero
Developed within the depths of one of the most comprehensive sail lofts in the world and born from our need for fun sized adventures, The 'code zero' in its traditional sense is a sail reached to when the spinnaker is too much, but the jib isn't enough. It was the ability of this unique sail to do more than one thing that inspired us to create and name this multitasking accessory.
The shortest side of the triangular awning has a Kador strip attached or 'bolt rope' as it's known in the sailing industry. We also added another bolt rope along the 'luff' or the second longest side of the triangle, allowing the awning to be either used length ways as a high wind storm awning on SWB and LWB vans or, for it to be rigged up with the bolt rope on the foot of the sail, more specifically for 'car derived' vans- something our Volkswagen Caddy customers will be delighted to hear.
While we were at it, we also took the opportunity to make a limited edition code zero awning out of ‘Cross-Ply Mylar.; A grand prix sail fabric purposed into high-end skiff sail design. The fabric is transparent allowing increased visibility on the racecourse however, purposed for our needs, it works well as a wind and weather stopper whilst also allowing an amount of light to get through and with it, consequent warmth in the colder months.
The traditional black version is made from a 600g weight cloth with a poly backing aiding water run off and durability.
The Code zero is designed to work with both our carbon and steel poles and all the variants of our pegs, please choose your preference when checking out.

Our 2.45m C-Section awning rail will allow you to rig this on the 'foot' and 'luff' of the awning.
If you plan to use this awning on your 'car derived van' (Caddy, Berlingo, Transit connect, Kangoo) you will need to use our 'CD rail' (car derived) rail. This is the same C-Section rail however it measures 1.25m long. The Code Zero awning can only be rigged on the 'foot' of the awning in this configuration, working in its longest form.

As much as we would love to be able to guarantee the B1 Awnings waterproof rating we unfortunately cannot. We advertise them as a heavy-duty sunshade, however they are highly water resistant.
